# 2FA for Mautic - great plugin

I just came across this great plugin for 2FA for Mautic login: [GitHub - hostnetbr/mautic-googleauthenticator: A Mautic plugin for two-step verification login with Google Authenticator.](https://github.com/hostnetbr/mautic-googleauthenticator)

If anyone is looking for a layer of security this is great.

Hi,  
It doesn’t work for me when I try to add it. reloading plugins gives this error:

Hi,  
The URL inside the plugin is not working – it refers to a Google generator that is no longer operational. Replacing it with another link with qr gen works, but we decided that sensitive data should be within the same environment as the program.

We have addressed this by generating the QR code locally and replacing the non-working link with a locally generated file.  
so it works with mautic 4
