# A company shows under companies, but not selectable when adding a contact

Hi all,

I am having a bit of a problem with the following,

New companies that I have added are showing in the companies area of Mautic, but they are not showing as an option when I am trying to add new contacts.

Its inconsistent, as some will show, and some won’t.

Any ideas?

Do the companies that don’t show have any special characters in the company name? Any other way to determine the good ones from the bad ones?
