# Allow for adding industry

I would like to request an idea that we can add a new industry to the pre-defined list when we are creating a new company.

Dou you want a value to be added in the standard installation of Mautic, or do you need an additional value for your Mautic installation?

If it is the second, visit Settings \> Custom Fields in your Mautic installation. You can add an option there.

Thanks for the reply. I want it added to the dropdown list of industries that is already there when adding a company. Does the custom fields section allow you to add it?

Yes, simply add the new value in Settings \> Custom Fields (edit Industry field \> new value) and it is available when you create a new company.
