# Amazon SES bouncing not configuring properly with mautic

**Your software**  
My Mautic version is: 5.1  
My PHP version is: 8.1.29  
My Database type and version is: mysql Ver 8.0.39-0ubuntu0.24.04.2

We have configure SMTP with muatic and it works, but instead we want to configure it with amazon+ses so we had used  
scheme =ses+api  
Host= default

and on testing it says Uh oh! I think I broke it. If I do it again, please report me to the system administrator!

Please help me to fix this problem.

Hi @ambika -

If you want to use bounce handling and send via API, you will need to add a specific plugin for this job. Out of the box you only get SMTP without Bounce Handling via webhooks.
