# Auto-enroll new contacts to all global categories

**Your software**  
My Mautic version is: 2.15.1  
My PHP version is: 7.3

**Your problem**  
It’s just a question about how to auto-enroll all contacts (including new contacts) to all global categories.

We created a preference center to allow subscribers to select which categories of emails they want to receive. If a subscriber doesn’t want commercial emails, ok. But we want to enable all categories by default.

Is it possible?

Hi, you can set a campaign step ‘remove do not contact’ and add all channels you want.  
run it for all contacts once, then later for all new contacts.

Hey, Joey, thanks for answer. I tried adding a new step to “add all channels” but couldnt find one to do that. My instinct was to go with all “Edit contact” and select the categories there (as I would for individual contacts), but the Category option is not showing. Could you provide more details? Cheers! 😃

Hi, by all channels I meant Email channel or Text message channel.
