# Basic email text editing

Maybe I am missing something, but I find that you cannot do basic email text editing with Mautic. For instance, I find that line spacing for paragraphs of text defaults to double line spacing. I see no way to make that single line spacing. I can left, center or right align it and specify the font and size of font but little else.

Hi @Pathrider,

If you haven’t already, try hitting Shift+Enter. That usually works in HTML editors to get a single line break.
