# Bounce management - not all marked correctly

Hi,
I have 77 contacts marked as “bounced”, but received approx 160 “not delivered” messages.
Some of the not delivered emails are not reflected in bounced status of the contact.
I have monitoring set-up and working (as some messages are properly reflected in bounced status) but not all.
How I can track what is the source of the problem? Any clue?

I understood mauitic bounce monitoring is fetching emails, and for all messages where To: field has “+bounce\_id” - identifies the failed recipient address and marks them with bounced status…
Some of the bounce emails I received are properly processes by mautic bounce monitor, but some not.
What should I look for in the smtp server logs?
