# Cache won't regenerate

**Your software**  
My Mautic version is: **2.15.3**  
My PHP version is: **7.2**

**Your problem**  
My problem is: My cache won’t regenerate. I followed the documentation and deleted the app/cache folder and now it won’t regenerate a new one giving me a 500 error.

I went to github to try and find a replacement folder but it wasn’t on there. Can anyone send me a clean cache or instruct me on how to fix it?

My last option would to be a clean install, but i want to be able to backup my forms.
