# Custom fields order - re-arranging moving fields

mautic 3.1.1  
php 7.3.22

**Your problem**  
How can I move a custom field up or reorder in the contacts?  
In the custom field settings of that field, the order dropdown is meant for that right? The field is set to top, but actually showing up at the bottom.
