# Custom preference page not showing

Hi,

My goal is to provide a custom preference page (channel, frequency and so on). Here is what I did:

1. Created a landing page and marked it as “Is preference center”
2. Created an email and selected it under “Preference center page”
3. Put a custom link into the email which leads to the preference page
4. Sent the email to a contact

Result:

- When clicking the standard unsubscribe link in the email: standard preference center opens
- When clicking the custom link in the email: 404 error
- When clicking the preference center page preview: 404 error

Any idea what I did wrong?
