# Custom unsub page not working

**Your software**  
My Mautic version is: 4.4.1  
My PHP version is: 7.4.30  
My Database type and version is: 10.3.29-MariaDB

**Your problem**  
My problem is:  
Trying to create a custom unsubscribe page for all emails so it does not just show the basic text. 1) I created custom landing page. 2) Set the landing page as preference center page 3) Enabled yes for "Show contact preference settings " in config-\>email setting.

I would like the new custom unsubscribe page to be default for all emails (i’d rather not have to click set as preference for each email I send). But anyways, to test, I also did create an email and set my landing page as the “preference center page”.

Not working. This is what I get: a page showing “message preferences” “please use the form below to set your message preferences”.

Any idea?

Hi

Could it be that you have selected an unsubscribe form in the email.

Make sure to:

1. set the page as preference center page
2. add the following tokens to the page ([Customize preference center | Mautic](https://docs.mautic.org/en/contacts/preference-center/customize-preference-center))
3. add the preference center to your email (and no unsub form)
4. enable preference center in the email configuration tab

When following these steps it should work.

I am confused about the token part. It says those are optional no? What exactly do I have to add of the tokens? Which ones? Thanks
