# Does Mautic Run with Email Remote?

Does Mautic function correctly with the email use running on remote mail exchange or must we move the mail to local mode.;  
  
Most of my emails do not go out so i assume they are bounciing and my bounce cron seems to be running steadily but i cannot find any bounces so i can study the header to see if i need to tune up the header… but can’t find any bounces either. as not sure what my remote service does with the bounces.  
  
Any advice even generally would be appreciated.
