# Download count

Does the download count in assets only count on direct downloads from the assets links or should it count if a form does the download?
I don’t think its working at the moment.

It should count any download whether directly via the link or as a redirect post form submission. Although it will not count it if you are downloading from the same session that you are currently logged into Mautic with. This is on purpose so as to not skew results with “user/agent” related activity.
