# Email builder not working - yet another issue of the same name

**Your software**  
My Mautic version is: 3.1.0  
My PHP version is: PHP Version 7.2.33-  
Webserver: Apache/2.4.41  
My Database type and version is:

**Your problem**  
My problem is:  
As shown in the below picture, I am not able to use the builder.

This is the error in console:  
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token u in JSON at position 0  
at JSON.parse ()  
at Object.Mautic.initGrapesJS (app.js?vd24bd845:706)  
at Object.Mautic.launchBuilder (app.js?vd24bd845:706)  
at HTMLButtonElement.onclick (2:1)

These errors are showing in the log:  
Unfortunately: log doesnt show anything  
It says"  
Today’s Mautic error log is empty. Check server error log for error messages Mautic didn’t have a chance to catch."

The paths are writeable

Please help. this is my first usage and I am facing this issue.

You’re using an out of date version of Mautic. Please use the latest release and you should not experience this issue which was resolved several releases ago.

I have updated it to the latest version. Thank you very much as it is now working.
