# Email Campaigns on multiple lists

If I send an email campaign to multiple segments (distribution, retail, etail) and a contact that is on these segments (distribution, retail, etail), will the contact get three duplicate emails, or just one?
If so how to deal with this?

If you add the segments to a single campaign, the email is just sent out one time - even if the contact is in more than one of the added segments. That’s how Mautic is designed: every campaign action is executed only one time.
