Hi everyone,
I am looking for some help with email statistics.

Background:
My Mautic uses Elastic Email provider to send emails. I already setup the webhook(which works and returns ‘success’) based on the docs: [Bounce management | Mautic](https://docs.mautic.org/en/channels/emails/bounce-management#elastic-email-webhook)

But, when I send an email message there is no information in statistics about number of bounced messages. I see the bar with “Email sent” but any other columns are empty. I made a test with invalid email address and the contacts was marked as “Bounced” but there is no info in email statistics.

Do I need anything else to be set before I’ll be able to read all statistics?

On the screenshot there is a contact that was marked as bounced after the message failed. So if the contact was marked there is a proof that data from webhook was processed, right?

Thanks in advance, M.

I was asking myself the same thing. Then I came across the following site:

> **[Bounce Management FAQ - Mautic](https://mautic.com/help/bounce-management-faq/#:~:text=a%20soft%20bounce%20will%20automatically%20update%20a%20Contact%20to%20%E2%80%9CEmail%20Bounced%E2%80%9D%20status)**

> In this FAQ, we talk about how Mautic manages email bounces.

It says that “a soft bounce will automatically update a Contact to Email Bounced status”, so from that I interpreted that “hard bounces” do not show up in the statistics of the email, only soft bounces.
Hard bounces will be flagged as “bounced” with little icon.

Can someone confirm this?

If it is indeed so, maybe it would be beneficial to change the mechanics…
