# Emails stays in pending state

**Your software**  
My Mautic version is: 5.2.1  
My PHP version is: 8.1.31  
My Database type and version is: mysql 8.0.41

**Your problem**  
My problem is: Emails are kept in pending state

I’m new to Mautic and I’ve created a new Email

However, no emails are sent since yesterday.  
There is 87 people in the segment.

These errors are showing in the log:

I don’t see any errors in logs.  
Test emails works :

Steps I have tried to fix the problem:

I tried to test the smtp setting, send a test email and everything works.

I tried to test the queue for email

It’s a success.

So, I don’t know what I should try now.

I finally decided to cancel the scheduled send and I clicked on the “Send” button.  
It worked.

Maybe the scheduled send is not intended to be used this way, or maybe I have a bug in my version. But the immediate send is working.

Welcome to the Mautic community! Your issue might be related to **cron jobs**. Have you verified that they are set up correctly?
