# Error 404 Installation

Hi everyone, I just started using Mautic for the first time and so I will ask a question that is probably very simple for you …
after downloading the installation zip file, uploading it to my control panel and ‘unzipped’, I don’t understand how to follow what the guide says: “and then navigate to that location in your browser. You will find Mautic has a very easy to follow on-screen installation process.”
Error 404 appears.
My Mautic version is: 2.15.1
My PHP version is: 7.0.0
Could you give me some suggestions for this?

Hi there, and welcome to the Community!
Just posting here what I replied with on Slack so that others can see:
When you’ve unzipped it, you’ll have likely done that in a folder of your web root. For example, if my website is [domain.com](http://domain.com) then maybe I’d unzip Mautic into a folder called ‘m’ within the public web folder. The location it refers to is then [domain.com/m](http://domain.com/m).
For info, I’ve just submitted some updates to the documentation which should make it much clearer, based on your questions 🙂

Exactly, as far as my case was concerned, I went to the exclusion to understand where the error was. I found out later that it was a hosting configuration.
