# Error 500 installing 3.3.1 from 2.16.2

**Your software**  
My Mautic version is: 2.16.2  
My PHP version is: 7.3  
My Database type and version is: Mysql 5.7

**Your problem**  
My problem is: When installing the new version from scratch I am receiving internal server error 500 when connecting to the DB

Steps I have tried to fix the problem:  
I tried first to install with a copy of 2.16.2 database, then I tried with blank database but the error still the same
