# Error: no valid recipients

**Your problem**  
My problem is: Unable to send test email after set-up.

These errors are showing in the log:

Steps I have tried to fix the problem: checked the email smtp settings, tested the connection, updated the cronjobs but still the problem persists. I even allowed a couple of days to rule out the possibility of DNS not being propagated.

Any assistance in resolving the issue is much appreciated.

Can you plz test if your recipient has a valid email address?  
This error is showing that you are trying to send an email to someone with not a valid email.

I own the email address and also have set the default Mailer as owner in config settings.

is the domain fully authenticated ?

What’s does this 554 error code mean? … 554 error code means that the receiving server sees something in the **From or To Headers of the message** , that it doesn’t like. This can be caused by a spam filter identifying your machine as a relay, or as a machine not trusted to send emails from your domain

Do you have SSL setup ?

Yes, I confirm that SSL has been set-up to begin with 😕

I rechecked the MX, SPF and DKIM records as well, reset them again and checked the DNS checker.

Looks like the CNAME records are not yet fully propagated, can this be an issue here?

Joeyl, It is the same as error posted earlier to the letter. no change at all. I’ve also reached out to the hosting service provider about the same, waiting for their response for now.

You seem not fully qualified to send emails from the address you try to send from. This is my impression.
