# Exit intent incorrect behaviour

I’m trying to implment exit intent but i think the way is behaving is incorrect.  
  
  
  
Exit intent means that when someone is leaving your site the modal will appear. Mautic exit intent appears even if i click on “respond to comment” link on my site.  
  
  
  
I’n this way i’m blocking an user from engaging with me and my site.  
  
  
  
More importantly what if the link clicked by the user was the “buy now” button?  
  
  
  
I’m stopping a customer from buying in that way.
