# Forgotten Username

So to keep it short I have forgotten the username that I set up on my database and I would like to know how I can recover it or reset it. does anyone have an answer.  
  
  
  
In short I had a small break from work after resetting the database and my computer has remembered the old credentials not the new ones leaving me to guess what I decided would be a good username 2 weeks ago.

Hi Tyler,

You should be able to look at your database’s users table to see what your username is.

If this for the actual database user and not what you use to login to Mautic with, check the app/config/local.php file.
