# Happy birthday email campaign is not restarted

**Your problem**
My problem is:
I follow rod martin’s tutorial and the the campaign was triggered the 1st day (test birthdate) and the 2nd day (restart campaign).

Since, none campaign trigger has been applied to contact
Here is the campaign schema:

Restart campaign:
Note: In the screenshot you can see that I’ve used the name of the campaign instead of "This Campaign (restart the campaign). I did it for testing purpose. BUt it does not work with "This Campaign (restart the campaign)
I don’t see what’s wrong.
These errors are showing in the log:
No errors in the log
Steps I have tried to fix the problem:
I remove the tag “anciens clients” for client I konw the birthday is today, launch manaully trigger and update jobs, but nothing change.

I believe we are experiencing this as well in 3.3.2. I think this has been broken for a few releases…

Hi. A few questions and maybe suggestions:
1. There was an issue with jump event in previous versions of mautic, however I believe this has been fixed up, the workaround used to be adding in a temp tag in-between and a small time delay. I wrote a small post about this [here](https://surge.media/mautic-jump-condition-making-it-work/).
2. The emails you are sending are they defined as Transactional or Marketing ? To be able to resend the same mail over and over they must be set to transitional.
3. In the settings are contacts able to rejoin the campaign ? (not that this should make the difference IMO).

Hi,
I’m so stupid that I forgot to enable the restart option. So now the restart stage is working fine but the birthday test fails. I also tried to use a segment filtered by birth date equals today, but it did’nt work.
Do you guys face the same issue with date comparison?

Finally I’ve decided to simplify the process. I created a segment using birthday as filter and the used the segment as a start point for the campaing. It works fine so far.

Hi why do we need to remove the contact from the segment. Mautic documentation sayd if you remove a contact from a segment it doesnt allow it to re-enter the same segment.
