# High percentage of emails going into spam (or getting rejected/not delivered)

My Mautic version is:4.4.4
My PHP version is: 7.4
**Your problem**
My problem is:
After Mautic 4.4.4 Upgrade :
A significant drop from consistently 30% and over, to only 5 - 10% in READ mails stats .
Emails are receiving in spam or not delivered.
Could you please help me with this ?

What SMTP are you using? I’m having this problem with Amazon SES. Yahoo and Outlook will block your IP if there’s more than 0.3% complaint rate, which is crazy. Gmail allows you to contest any block and possibly get it cleared.

10% means, he is barely inboxing, I think this is a list quality issue.

It happened to me recently. It’s the spam filter policies of the big providers. [Using Amazon SES - Mail Landing In Spam Folder - #8 by maximiliank](https://forum.mautic.org/t/using-amazon-ses-mail-landing-in-spam-folder/26994/8)
I’ve seen people say Gmail/google also referred them back to SES. SES won’t do anything besides sell you a dedicated IP. I’m not sure how often they allow you to change that IP. Either way, changing the IP isn’t a solution.
There needs to be a protest regarding the spam filter policies of gmail, yahoo, and outlook.

Actually I’m not sure if thats the problem. Just look around here in the forum, where people write about “cold mailing”. As long as these practices don’t stop, I hope most providers have a strict policy, but differentiate more about who exactly is sending.
