We use [Payscale](https://payscale.com/research) to calculate the value for this role using the title ‘Marketing Assistant’. This role does not attract any seniority bonus. **Description of the role:** We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Sales and Marketing Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop their skills in a dynamic environment while contributing to the growth of our product-led marketing strategy. As a Junior Sales and Marketing Assistant, you will work closely with the Project Lead and Marketing Team leadership to support sales and marketing initiatives, focusing on lead generation and strategic outreach. ## Key Responsibilities - Assist in the development and implementation of a product-led marketing strategy, working alongside the Project Lead and Marketing Team Lead to execute campaigns and initiatives that drive product awareness and adoption. - Conduct market research to identify potential leads for Mautic membership, event sponsorship and Mautic hosting, and maintain a database of prospects. Analyze market trends and competitor activity to support strategic decision-making. - Engage with potential leads through proactive outreach efforts, including email communications and social media interactions, to generate interest and schedule meetings with relevant leads. - Assist in booking calls and meetings for the sales team, ensuring a smooth handover of qualified leads. Support the sales process by preparing relevant materials and documentation in advance of sales calls and review meetings. - After training, maintain your own sales pipeline and contribute towards achieving Mautic’s revenue goals. - Perform general administrative duties related to sales and marketing activities, including maintaining records, preparing reports, and coordinating schedules. - Provide overflow support to the Marketing Team for social media and marketing tasks as your time and availability dictates. ## Your experience and skills - Academic and/or practical experience in Marketing, Business, or a related field - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to conduct thorough research and analyze data. - Proficiency in Google Workspace, Hubspot, Canva and ideally Mautic. - Strong awareness of the pros and cons of social media channels used around the world, and a good understanding of developing strategies for each network for the purposes of business marketing. - Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment. - Previous experience in sales or marketing is a plus but not required. - Experience with and understanding of open source projects. - Experience of planning, organizing and running virtual, hybrid and in-person events Read the full job description for more: [https://community.mautic.org/processes/contribute-to-mautic/f/75/posts/62](https://community.mautic.org/processes/contribute-to-mautic/f/75/posts/62) **Please note that we welcome interest from candidates with varying levels of experience; many successful candidates do not meet every single requirement.
