# How can I add Contacts from Active Campaign to Mautic Automatically (without Zapier)

My Mautic version is: v2.16.0  
My PHP version is: 7.2.28

**Your problem**  
Does anyone know how I can send contacts from Active Campaign to Mautic without using Zapier? Would I need to use the API?

And if so, how?
