# How to add a new contact to a segment?

I have new contacts added to Mautic with WP Fusion, however I cannot find a way to have them automatically be added to a segment and campaign. Is there a way?

Hello,  
It does need an API connection:  
[https://developer.mautic.org/#add-contact-to-a-segment](https://developer.mautic.org/#add-contact-to-a-segment)

However, if you can add tags from WP fusion, you can add a tag, which can qualify a contact to be a member of a segment.
