# How to adjust mj-body background color?

**Your software**  
My Mautic version is: 5.1  
My PHP version is: 8.1.29  
My Database type and version is: Mariadb 10.6

How can adjust the background color outside the normal e-mail text?  
In the Vers. 5.0.4 i had anywhwere a color field - but in the 5.1 i can’t find it.

Is it a bug of the new behaviour of the section (section is now shown the full wide - at 5.0.4 it was shown only around the mail section)

Hi @stefan-franz,

To change the background color of your email, you can add the `background-color` attribute to the `<mj-body>` tag. For example:

`<mj-body background-color="red">`

Thanks. It’s a bug. Before 5.1 it was normal able to select the color like inside the e-mail.
