# How to change default settings for new emails?

**Your software**  
My Mautic version is: 5.0.3  
My PHP version is: 8.1.27  
My Database type and version is: 10.6.16-MariaDB-0ubuntu0.22.04.1

**Your problem**  
My problem is:

Some of the default settings need to be changed every time when creating a new email. Is there a way to configure these defaults to something else?

Specifically my goal is to have the email language to be Finnish by default instead of English, and the published as ‘no’ by default.

Changing the default language in system settings, the account language
