# How to ensure dynamic segment doesnt kick out a contact from an email drip/campaign?

Hi i would appreciate your help.
I am trying to set up an onboarding sequence for new affiliates. My main concern is if i use the **affiliate since date field filter** to catch those affiliates who joined 1 a day ago they will fall out of the segment and the campaign curated for them after 1 day will not run further (the campaign has 3-5 emails triggered after few days gaps). How can i ensure the contact remains in segment? I was thinking of using the date filter in the drip/canvas itself instead? and does parallel branching instead of sequential canvas help?

Hello Sophia,
You can try to set the filter as:
If you set the date filter as affiliate since \< -1, then only affiliates will the the members who joined at least 1 day ago. But everyeone will be included after 2,3,4,5,6 etc days as well. Because if someone joined 7 days ago, that is less then -6 = -7.
