# How to Increase RAM

After installing plugins I get a
500 Internal Server Error
I know I need to increase RAM, I just have no idea how. I put a php.ini file in the root directory but that did not work. This is a newby question, but can someone walk me through how to do this.

Can someone please help me out here.
I changed the php.ini setting form 32M of ram to 512M but the site is still stuck at 32M.
Where is the memory limit set in mautic? It is ignoring php.ini
How do I change it?

I finally got it working. It was a weird server config.
