# How to speed up contact search

**Your software**  
My Mautic version is: 3.3.4  
My PHP version is: 7.3  
My Database type and version is: Maria DB 10.3.30

**Your problem**  
My problem is:

Contact search on Contacts page is slow, I am looking into how to speed it up. Database has around 100k - 150k contacts.

These errors are showing in the log:

[no error logs, so far]

Steps I have tried to fix the problem:

I am thinking about isolating database server from application server and give database server more ram & cpu power.

Is there anyone that has faced the same issue? How did you approach/solve it? Please share your findings here. Thanks.

There are multiple videos on the web regarding db speed.  
Check this approach:

However I fail to see how installing stuff in a container would help (like it suggested in the post you mentioned). I will try some of the things I posted above first and hopefully get the results I am looking for.
