We are seeing odd and incorrect identification of City/State fields for known contacts (non-anonymous, but without human name and contact info) created in Mautic. Here’s an example:

![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex020/uploads/mautic/original/2X/8/8a4835c4256c84a4fa9d7bad7699eade16287f0c.png)

New England is a _region_ that encompasses several _states_ in the northeast of USA. North Dakota is a state, however it’s nowhere near the New England states.

Is this an issue of data collection from the IP lookup service? Is this an issue within Mautic? It seems there is misplaced data in someone’s database somewhere… Our IP lookup service is _Extreme-IP_.

Thoughts? Has anyone else experienced this? Any solution exist?

Thanks,
EP
