# Is it possible to hide or anonymize a leads IP address?

1. Since tracking complete IP addresses might not be legal in every country, is it possible to anonymize it like Google Analytics does, by removing last three digits of the IP address?  
  
  
2. Will Mautic still be working and able to track leads e.g. via cookie?
