# Lead avatar image..? Where does it come from?

We are newbies to using Mautic and still playing around trying to figure it out. We see that some leads show an avatar image… where is Mautic pulling this image from?

I see… So when the gravatar shows up on a lead profile… we did not manually pu the image there… so where does this pull the image from? There Facebook profile, Wordress user profile,… I am wondering where they pull this image from and how they find it…

As I wrote, Mautic pulls the images from [gravatar.com](http://gravatar.com). This service will provide the image based on an email address I think.

Mautic uses [https://en.gravatar.com/](https://en.gravatar.com/) to pull the images.

What if they have no Gravatar image setup? I am getting a broken image now. Odd.
