# Mail Sending Eats Up All The Disk Space On The Server

**Your software**  
My Mautic version is:2.16  
My PHP version is:7.2

**Your problem**  
My problem is:Using SMTP Email sending to PowerMTA. When the send starts occurrin mautic is creating a ton of (I think email) data in the app/spool directory. Eventually it runs out of disk space causing the instance to fail.

These errors are showing in the log:

Steps I have tried to fix the problem: I purged the spool which results in message loss - but I thought Mautic should be cleaning this stuff up after the message is delivered to the server for delivery.
