I also found another article where was recommended to add ‘db\_server\_version’ =\> '5.7‘, to /app/config/local.php what I did, but without any effect… These errors are showing in the log: ``` Ok, I dived in deeper and solved the problem by using the information from this chat: [https://github.com/mautic/mautic/issues/9200](https://github.com/mautic/mautic/issues/9200) Short way for all non techies like me: Step1: - Open /app/config/config.php - Search for ‘server\_version’ (in version 3.1.2 line 110) - Change line to ‘server\_version’ =\> ‘5.7’, - Upload updated file to server Step 2: - Open /app/config/local.php - Search for ‘db\_server\_version’ (in version 3.1.2 line 35) - Change line 35 to ‘db\_server\_version’ =\> ‘5.7’, - Upload updated file to server Step 3: \*delete all files and folders in /var/cache/, but not the cache folder it self! Step 4: #login to your Mautic again, go to Plugins and push the Install/ Upgrade Plugins Button in the top left corner This worked well for me now! We’ve fixed this bug with MySQL 5.7 (`Unknown database type json requested`) in Mautic 3.2, to be released on **November 30**. The fix will only apply to **new** installations and to installations that don’t have `db_server_version` in their `app/config/local.php` yet (this is the case if you haven’t changed the default configuration in Mautic’s UI before). Otherwise you have to change the version in `app/config/local.php` yourself, as mentioned in [Mautic 3.1.2 installed - Plugins are not available](https://forum.mautic.org/t/mautic-3-1-2-installed-plugins-are-not-available/17003/3). Apologies for the inconvenience and thanks for reporting this!
