# Mautic - Configuration - Email Setting - Test Connection Error

_These errors are showing in the Mautic log_ :

I have created an SMTP server on Hosting VPS Cyberpanel Hosting. Everything works fine and I can send emails from webmail.  
I installed Mautic 4 and configured using a video tut. while testing the connection the mentioned error follows.

_Steps I have tried to fix the problem_ : Tried almost all steps I knew

It looks like there is an authentication error. Make sure you select the correct email service from the drop down and double check all email settings (like, host, port, password). And drop the screenshot of email configuration (just blur out any sensitive data) in case further assistance is required.

I would also suggest first try to add account to desktop email client (like thunderbird) - that way you can check that everything is OK on the email side.

Well you pasted info about [hrinfo360.com](http://hrinfo360.com) and you entered .net domain in mautic, try using [smtp.hrinfo360.com](http://smtp.hrinfo360.com) in mautic.

It was by mistake that I entered .net, I corrected it and found another error:

Yes I tried it as well. Now I have got suggestions to reinstall everything from scratch and am gonna do so and try.  
Thank you very much for your support, I may be back if some issues are found as before.

Hi!  
When I test connection without any encryption (SSL/TLS) NONE. Testing gets SUCCESS.  
so the issue is with Encryption

I cant find any solutions
