# Mautic does not work

Hello everyone,

If we have self-hosted Mautic v7.1.1, do we need HTTPS cert in order to Mautic work successfully?

Hello,

technically not - I’ve got Mautic in a demo environment without SSL encryption installed.  
But I’d not do so on a live / online environment.

The fact alone that browsers show users that the page is “insecure” and will continue to make HTTP only request more difficult / warn users actively, is clearly a sign for the trend there.

So in general the target it quite clear and easy: No domain on earth without SSL encryption anymore.

Have you face the below issue? SuiteCRM is running on HTTPS and Mautic on HTTP and trying to integrate and sync contacts and accounts.

Nope.  
I don’t use the plugin since it’s got some hiccups and quite some limitations.  
Usually, in my projects I need segments and campaigns synchronized as well.  
I’m using an integration approach:
