# Mautic Filters Explained AND and OR

My Mautic version is: v4.2.2  
My PHP version is: 7.4.30  
My Database type and version is: MariaDB 10.4

**Your problem**  
My problem is: Need help with AND and OR operators in Filters to do Segments

I do not understand how the AND and OR operators in the filters work to do Segments. The boxes are not clear. I think documentation on this can make the app better for all of us.

For example, I want to use a FILTER that is → TAGS including Orange; Green; Blue.

I can input in the field all the options … Inside the input work as AND or as OR ???

I think that experienced Mautic users will know what I am talking about. Then if things get complex, I have no idea of how to work.

Imagin a segment that contains all the users that like (ORANGE AND GREEN) or (GREEN and BLUE) or (PINK AND BLUE AND YELLOW) and that (VISITED X PAGE).

I am new to the forum and I want to say that Mautic is amazing. I am a SEO and I used a title that might help people finding this topic in SERPS.
