**Your software**
_My PHP version is_ : 8.0

**Background**
_I am_ updating using the mautic dashboard. (bell icon)
Previously it was stuck on extracting package which took a week to fix but now its stuck on the next stage.

**The problem**
The update is stuck on clearing application cache. I waited a long time but it does not progress.

_Steps I have tried to fix the problem_ :
I increased max execution time from 30 to 500.
I increased max input time from 60 to 320.

> . Before you commence updating Mautic, please ensure that you have a tested backup of your Mautic instance. This means that you have downloaded the files and database of your Mautic instance, and you have recreated it in a test environment somewhere...

Also before attempting to upgrade:

- create a backup
- go to mautic root folder and clear cache with the following command: rm -rf var/cache/dev/\* var/cache/prod/\*
