# Moving from PHP 7.4 to PHP 8.1

I’m running an instance of Mautic (4.45) that sits on PHP 7.4.

I’m thinking of changing PHP to 8.1.

Are there any considerations or can I just upgrade PHP?

Mautic 4.4 only works with PHP 8.0 and the migration from 7.4 to 8.0 is completely transparent.
