Hi everyone,

Following the [critical PHP security release announcement](https://forum.mautic.org/t/critical-php-security-release-today-please-get-your-mautic-servers-ready/38664), I’d like to offer some practical help to anyone updating their self-hosted Mautic installation.

At [Aivie](https://aivie.ch/?utm_source=mautic&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=expertise&utm_content=aivie-php-update), we’ve completed the updates across our customers’ instances and are happy to share what we’ve learned.

**Have a question? Ask here for free.**

Unsure which PHP version to update to, how to handle your Docker setup, or what to check afterwards? Reply in this thread with your Mautic version, PHP version and hosting setup. I’ll do my best to help, and the answers will be available to others facing the same issues.

**Need more involved help?**

If your setup needs individual troubleshooting or you’d prefer to work through the update together, we also offer straightforward paid support through [Quick Mautic Help](https://aivie.ch/en/product/quick-mautic-help/?utm_source=mautic&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=expertise&utm_content=mautic-support-php-update): a 30-minute online session to look at your setup and work through the next steps.

Feel free to start with a question here.
