Hello everyone!

I’m a new Mautic user. Right now, I’m using Mautic for an email campaign, but I’ve run into a problem with Gmail. We use Google Apps for Business, and yesterday I started my first campaign. I had about 200 people on my email list. Mautic sent 30 of these emails and then Gmail just shut down. Gmail thought that my account had been hacked, and actually locked me out of my email. After having my admin grant me access again, I found that I had “reached my limit”, which I know isn’t the case since only 30 emails got sent. I still can’t actually send out emails (looks like I’m on a 24 hour ban).

So my questions are:

1. How can I get Mautic to play nice with Gmail? Is there something that I missed in the setup? Would making a queue of emails be better?

2. Is there anything I can do on the Gmail/Google Apps for Business side of things that would allow me to verify Mautic as being OK and the emails that are being sent aren’t a problem?

3. Is it possible that the email seemed a bit too spammy and that’s why Gmail kicked it out? If so, what’s the best way to develop emails that won’t get kicked out by Google?

Thanks in advance!!

Email that my administrator got:
The following is an automated security notification from Google about your domain accounts.

It has come to our attention that some of your user accounts from your domain: [thegraphichive.com](http://thegraphichive.com) might have been compromised.

The following users in your Google Apps domain appear to be affected:

[matt@thegraphichive.com](mailto:matt@thegraphichive.com)

We have disabled the users in a way that they can be recovered by the admin. Please follow the actions below in order to secure these users.

ACTIONS REQUIRED

1. To reset the user’s password, follow the steps in this Help Center article:[https://support.google.com/a/answer/33319?hl=en](https://support.google.com/a/answer/33319?hl=en)

Inform the user of their new temporary password, and ask them to set a new password. (It should not be a password used with any other sites.)

1. To help check whether their account might have been compromised, advise users to:

Check for filters and forwarding rules so that email is not being forwarded to suspect addresses.
Check to make sure their signature has not been changed.

BEST PRACTICES FOR SECURITY

As an administrator, you may also consider implementing additional security features for your Google Apps domain:

1. Enrolling your domain in 2-step verification, which offers an additional layer of user authentication:[https://support.google.com/a/answer/175197?hl=en](https://support.google.com/a/answer/175197?hl=en)

2. Completing the Gmail Security Checklist:[https://support.google.com/mail/checklist/2986618?hl=en&rd=1](https://support.google.com/mail/checklist/2986618?hl=en&rd=1)

Additional information about the activity of affected user accounts can be obtained by using the Audit API:[https://developers.google.com/admin-sdk/email-audit/?csw=1](https://developers.google.com/admin-sdk/email-audit/?csw=1)

Sincerely,

The Google Apps Team
My name’s Matthew, and I’m the sales manager at the Graphic Hive in
Williamsport, PA. We are a full service design, print and marketing
firm that’s dedicated to producing high quality materials at
reasonable prices. Since opening in 2009, we have worked with many
different local and national races providing everything from t-shirts
to dog bandanas. I came across =E2=80=8D while
researching new races, and I was wondering whether you had already
selected a vendor for t-shirts or other promotional items. If not,
could we be given a chance to provide a quote for items that you would
need for your race?

To show you how dedicated we are to providing high quality printed
products for your event, read this case study about how we saved the
day for two different races in Pittsburgh!

The list came from my predecessor from leads that he found on the web.

The last email I sent out was at 3:34 PM yesterday. Mautic sent out the emails at 3:35 PM.

The domain is [www.thegraphichive.com](http://www.thegraphichive.com)

Maybe you hit a SPAM honeypot?

I was kind of thinking that maybe there was some irrelevant html code inside of the email that made it seem spammy. That and the fact that Mautic threw all of them out at the same time. I was wondering if maybe telling Mautic to slow down and queue the messages like 5 at a time might work out better.
