Hi there, I am looking to delete email entries in our database that bounced. Did some research on it and found this thread: [https://www.mautic.org/community/index.php/2738-how-to-automatically-remove-the-leads-whose-emails-are-failed-t/0](https://www.mautic.org/community/index.php/2738-how-to-automatically-remove-the-leads-whose-emails-are-failed-t/0) However: I have created a list segment with a filter (bounced - equals YES) but nothing has happened for months. List is still empty. But I still get a large amount of ‘mail delivery failed’ emails every time I send an email to our list. Anyone know what’s going on? thanks, Johannes ---

Have you looked at the contact lead so it got the tag Email Bounced? If not then you have to check your bounce settings in Mautic. ---

digging this back up… So I looked at individual contacts that returned ‘Mail Delivery System’ errors and the stats actually show that the person is reading the emails… Check a few different & random ones… Shouldn’t it show ‘no data’ and ideally the tag ‘bounced’? ---

You can create a Campaign and set action to remove or delete those contacts from your system ---

What objective would I set? What ‘trait’ or unique detail do those contacts have? Looking at a few contacts that returned ‘mail delivery system’ - they used to receive emails in the past and then all of a sudden stopped. But there is no ‘bounce’ tag that I can see
