# Search boolean fild not possible in contacts

**Your software**  
My Mautic version is: 4.4.10  
My PHP version is: 8.0.30  
My Database type and version is: 10.6

I made for double opt in a boolean field calld Doi  
Now i wanted do search in contacts for all contacts where Doi:Ja  
But the field Doi is not selectable for searching.  
Another custom field “birthday” works. The difference is, that Doi is a boolean field - is that not searchable?

Hi @stefan-franz,  
I suggest to just create a segment and filter for the Bool field with the content of “yes”.

Would that already be a sufficient solution?

Yes you’re right. Thanks.  
Segment can search Yes / No - but in the contact view doi:1 or doi:0 is the right way.
