# Send Email on Forms not Using From Email Setting

**Your software**  
My Mautic version is: 5.2.2

My problem is:  
We have seen that when you use an existing email template on a send results/ send email action on a form, the from email address which is set on the email is not used and instead the email comes from the system mail.

Is it expected behaviour that the responses do not use the templates mail settings? From my belief, it should use each setting from the email.

Apologies, I had left out the steps to replicate above.

Steps to replicate:  
Set the system email settings to [test1@test.com](mailto:test1@test.com)  
Create an email

- In the advanced settings set the from address to be [test2@test.com](mailto:test2@test.com)  
Create a form
- Add an action of “send form results”
- Choose the email you have just created to be the template  
Fill out the form

Expected:  
When the form is completed an email from [test2@test.com](mailto:test2@test.com) will provide the results

Actual:  
When the form is completed an email from [test1@test.com](mailto:test1@test.com) will provide the results

Interesting catch. In fact the email used as template just loads into the form action. It will not define the custom from email address. That function doesn’t exist (yet) in the form “send results” action.

That would be a feature request. You might add it into the [Ideas and Feature Requests - Mautic Forums](https://forum.mautic.org/c/ideas/14) section or fund some developer support to get it implemented, if thats an important thing for you to have.
