# Testing SMTP (SparkPost) - Need to run cron job for "Send test email" button?

**Your software**  
My Mautic version is: 2.16.3  
My PHP version is: 5.6.29

**Your problem**  
My problem is: I setup an account with SparkPost and I entered in my APKI key, I get a **Success** response when I test the connection, however, when I click on the **Send test email** button I don’t receive anything.

**1.** Do I need to run any Mautic cron job for the email to send?  
**2.** Also, what email address is the test email being sent to? It doesn’t let me specify where I want to send the test email to.
