# Text message limit for contacts

**Your software**  
My Mautic version is: 4.1.0  
My PHP version is: 7.4.26  
My Database type and version is: pdo\_mysql 5.7.36-39

**Your problem**  
My problem is: No Default Frequency Rule for Text Message Settings configuration.  
Net result is that when I create contacts (e.g. through csv import), each new contact has no frequency rule set which limits it to 1 sms/day. There is no global setting like there is one for emails. And no way to specify that during import process either. So if I want it to be different (e.g. 3 sms/day), I have to modify that in every contact (could be 1000s).

Desired behavior: A way to set sms limit global in configuration

These errors are showing in the log: NA

Steps I have tried to fix the problem: NA
