# Tracking cart to minimize abandonment

1. If the user adds items to the cart (hits the cart) but does not complete the transaction grab their email.

2. If the user does NOT hit the final thank you page after X seconds, email him/her to complete the conversion.

3. If the user comes back and hits the final thank you page, stop sending the email reminder.

**Your problem**  
My problem is: Just wondering how to do this

These errors are showing in the log: No errors

Steps I have tried to fix the problem: Trying to figure out how to do this.

Hi

For custom carts it is difficult to tell you why it is not working for you without being able to audit the code of that cart.
